What Are You Saying?

You are trapped by the saying of your mouth and you are taken by the speech of your lips. Proverbs 6:2

Have you ever said “I’ll never get married” “but it’s too late for me to get married” “no one will ever marry me” then you may be trapped by what you have said.

It’s bad enough when we have other people say these things to us, coming up with reasons why we are single or why we are not married yet. But when we repeat those things we become taken by those words.

The power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21); have you been speaking death over your marriage? Or have you been speaking life over your marriage?

So watch what you are saying and make sure you speak life, “I will get married, I am a wife, I am a husband, I will have a good marriage, my Husband will find me, I receive my prudent wife from the Lord” …
